Born in 1954 in the USA and educated at Harvard University, he lived in France from 1976 to 2005 and currently lives in Switzerland. He was the editor-in-chief of the French art journal Connaissance des Arts between 1979 and 2002 and is currently the editorial consultant for the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. |
