Dr Toby Musgrave is an acknowledged authority on garden history; his books have covered a wide range of subjects, from heritage fruit and vegetables, to must-see gardens. He has presented and acted as a consultant for popular programmes on ITV and Channel 4, devised and presented the successful Radio 4 series ‘The British Garden’, and he has contributed hundreds of articles to specialist periodicals, magazines and newspapers. Musgrave is Faculty Lecturer in Garden and Plant History at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, and has been Invited Lecturer at Oxford and Bristol Universities, and the Royal Horticultural Society. He was also consulting editor of Phaidon’s The Gardener’s Garden (2014) and a major contributor to The Garden Book (2000).
