The first part of this album contains photographs of Jerusalem.

However, it is not the Jerusalem seen through the windows of travel agencies buses, when following the city guides or admiring the views depicted on colorful postcards sold on every corner of the city.

Jerusalem - an extraordinary city, a city of magic, has been presented on the pages of this album by Erwin Schenklebach in a series of black and white photo images from the angle of his artistic sensitiveness and perception of the surrounding world, from a unique perspective, different and usually unknown.

The second part of the album contains a number of artistic portraits from his constantly growing, huge collection of about a thousand portraits of well-known writers, poets, philosophers, scientists and other individuals of the highest artistic and intellectual standing, among them many Nobel Prize Laureates.
